Nakashi is a dying art form which can be found only in the traditional houses and temples in the Himachal, especially in the remote areas such as Kinnaur and Kullu district. The artist Shri Hansraj is trying his best to preserve this dying art form by his continuous efforts. Primarily he is working on Devdar Wood and incorporates this art form in major architectural elements like Pillars, Columns, Ceiling / Roof, Window Panels etc.
The designers have drawn inspiration from the presence of organic forms in the art resulting in amorphous styles in their design. They have also been inspired by famous interior architects like (Late) Ms. Zaha Hadid and Karim Rashid and companies like Cadance Architect in Bangalore. The concept for their ‘Retail Space’ is synonymous to intricate and minimalistic reflection of the dying art form, that leaves a lasting impression on the visitors mind.
