“A man, who never finds the need to go on a holiday, is a man who loves his work”. Amsterdam born Robert Geesink, an artist in Hampi is an epitome of this statement. Geesink’s paintings are inspired by the Lambani women. While the Lambani dressing is becoming almost non-existent, he believes his paintings will continue to depict the Lambani lifestyle. The collection, “Elaminous”, is an interpretation of the paintings of Geesink. Unlike the conventional Lambani motifs, the motifs on the outfits have been rendered using foam print technique. The menswear follows a simple colour palette in shades of green, yellow and blue. Catering to the 21st generation young adult, the silhouettes are majorly fitted t-shirts and baggy pants.
